In the heart of Virginia’s coastal community, Nits & Noggins is quietly changing the way families experience head lice. Our mission? To make expert lice treatment accessible for every child and family, regardless of income or circumstance.
Founded as a response to a growing need for affordable care, Nits & Noggins serves the Hampton Roads region through a simple referral system. Families are connected to us by pediatricians, school nurses, social workers, and shelter programs. We provide treatment in a clean, private clinic setting—without the cost or stigma that often comes with lice.
But here’s what makes us different: our nonprofit exists thanks to the generosity of PALS Lice Treatment & Removal. This for-profit partner covers our treatment costs, clinic space, and staff so we can focus solely on helping those who need it most. PALS is our primary funder, and their support means we don’t have to turn away families due to finances.
We’ve helped kids return to school with confidence, calmed panicked parents, and saved families from the frustration of ineffective drugstore remedies. Our treatments are safe, effective, and done with care.
